Willa glanced down at her feet, which were currently locked into position about twelve inches apart. She stood without wobbling but had no confidence that inertia wouldn’t bring her crashing down. “Who the hell came up with the idea to attach metal blades to the bottom of their boots and venture out onto a body of frozen water for recreational purposes, anyway?”
Rae rolled her eyes. “Who wouldn’t want to strap knives to their feet and glide around the ice?”
Willa turned her head, to ask for Paul and Lynn’s perspective, but discovered that they had already left the ice. Sitting side by side on the bench, they tugged their boots back on while listening to their conversation with matching smiles. When Lynn saw Willa’s questioning look, she smiled and waved. “We didn’t want to interrupt you girls, but our toes are frozen. We’re heading back to the house for some hot chocolate and an even hotter lunch. We’ll have the same waiting for you when you’re done.”
“That sounds wonderful,” Willa said, already game to go inside with them. “We really appreciate that.”
“We probably won’t stay out here too terribly long.” Rae squeezed Willa’s frigid fingers, meeting her eyes with a look of gratitude. “I’m hoping to teach my little desert rose how to skate short distances on her own, but her petals aren’t exactly made for this cold.”
Willa shivered, now completely focused on the chill settling deep in her bones. “It’s true.”
“The best way to stay warm is to keep moving,” Paul said. He slung their skates over his shoulder by the laces, then helped Lynn to her feet, looping his arm in hers. “You’ll take to it soon enough, my dear. I remember the first time we brought our youngest boy Nick out on the ice—”
“Oh, the poor baby.” Lynn burst into hearty guffaws, no doubt at the image conjured up by her mind’s eye.
“By the next winter, he was twirling and spinning with the rest of us.” Paul caught Willa’s eye and winked. “Practice makes perfect. Go ahead and fall once, on purpose, to take some of the fear away. I promise it’ll help.”
Willa nodded, even if the last thing she wanted to do was intentionally plant her butt on the frozen lake. “I’ll give it a shot.” She turned back to Rae as Paul and Lynn shuffled back toward the house. “What if I hurt myself?”
“Bend your knees, fall to the side, use your hands. You’ll be fine, Will.” Rae skated a few inches closer, then retreated, forcing Willa to concentrate harder on her balance as she reacted to the movement in front of her. “Paul’s right. Your biggest problem right now is the fear of falling. Just…let go and fall. It won’t be nearly as bad as you think.”
Willa had always prided herself on her inner strength, her willingness to tackle new challenges head-on. Acknowledging that she wouldn’t be satisfied until she’d at least tried to do as Rae said, she reluctantly let go of her hands and, when Rae quickly moved out of the way, slowly bent at the knees, pitched to the side, and landed clumsily on the arctic ice. Motivated by the urgent desire to get her butt off the frozen ground before it, too, went completely numb, she immediately planted her hands in front of her and painstakingly lumbered back onto her feet. She managed to regain her balance without too much trouble and glanced up to find Rae watching her with a proud smirk.
“You’re so cute,” Rae said.
Willa scowled. “Shut up.”
“But you are.” Rae scooted backward another few inches, creating a few feet of distance between them. “Want to try skating to me now?”
Willa considered the proposal. If she lost her balance, she could probably manage a non-catastrophic fall. The first one hadn’t really hurt or anything. Taking a deep breath, Willa slowly eased her right foot forward, then her left.
“Great!” Rae began spouting instructions, helping Willa to refine her technique as she made her way closer, inch by inch. She also skated backward an additional few inches, twice, to encourage Willa to keep going. Finally, Willa reached out with both arms, applied a sudden burst of speed, and caught up to Rae in one, confident push, pulling her into a fierce embrace. Laughing, Rae hugged Willa back and spun them around in a slow circle. “I love you, baby. That was awesome.”
Willa’s cheeks ached from an unexpected combination of deep freeze and unhinged joy. “I love you, too. Can we go have hot chocolate now?”
Rae drew back and took Willa’s gloved hand in hers. “One spin around the lake together first? Pretty please?”
“Sure.” She leaned into Rae when she used her free hand to caress Willa’s frosty cheek. “Maybe we can come out here again tomorrow. You know, in between the orgasms.”
Rae half-groaned, half-laughed. “Woman, you’re going to kill me.”
“Hey, you were the one who wanted to make this trip a fucking-moon in the first place.”
It took Rae a moment to recover from that one. Slack-jawed, she asked, “Did you really just say that?”
Willa shrugged and cautiously tugged Rae forward. “Let’s go, before we freeze to death.”
Rae set them off at a decent clip toward the far side of the lake, steadying Willa whenever necessary with an arm around her waist. After a minute or so of mutual silence, she glanced over with a raised eyebrow. “A fucking-moon?”
“It’s funny, and you know it.” Willa gained some confidence as they cut a path across the ice and soon attempted to match the rhythm of Rae’s feet with her own. “Not to mention, true.”
“Yes, well…” Rae dropped her hand to pinch Willa’s bottom, barely penetrating the numbness of her frozen cheeks. “Can you blame me? It’s not every day I have the chance to steal away with the most beautiful woman I know. I mean, look at you. I’m only human.”
Willa rolled her eyes but didn’t bother to hide how very pleased—and desirable—the compliment made her feel. “As they say, be careful what you wish for. ’Cause for the rest of this vacation, darlin’, you’re gonna get it. Lots of it.”
Rae’s body shivered against Willa’s as they rounded the far side of the lake and headed back toward the bench. “I’ll have to work on my stamina.”
“Practice makes perfect.” Willa let go of Rae’s hand and skated forward on her own, arms stretched out to the sides, slowly. “Right?”
Rae caught up with her, spinning in a tight circle before coming to a perfectly executed stop at her side. “That’s what I’ve heard.”
“Luckily, we’ve got a little over a week to find out if that’s true.” Willa started to glide away again but instantly lost her balance. Reacting out of pure instinct, she bent her knees, pitched to the side, and landed heavily on her butt, which promptly lost every bit of remaining feeling. At the sound of Rae’s not terribly concerned laughter, Willa poked her lip out in an exaggerated pout. “Is it hot-chocolate time yet?”
Rae hoisted Willa onto her feet, curled a hand around the back of her neck, and dragged her into a brief but passionate kiss. “Yes, sweetheart. Let’s go get you warmed up.”
“I’ve got some ideas about how you could do that…”
Laughing, Rae guided her over to the bench. “I’ll bet.” She dropped her hand to give Willa’s butt a rough squeeze, helping to bring some of the feeling back. “Sounds like our honeymoon will exhaust me no matter where we spend it.”
“You knew who you were marrying,” Willa pointed out, not for the first time. “And yet you still showed up at the altar.”
Rae sighed in mock resignation, then snorted and rubbed Willa’s bowed back as she bent to unlace her skates. “Like I said, best day of my life.”
Chapter Eight
Late that evening, Rae lay flat on her stomach in the center of the king-sized mattress, arms folded beneath her head, while Willa pulled her buttocks apart with both hands and carefully touched her tongue to the sensitive, wrinkled opening that lay in the valley between. Rae hissed in surprise, struggling to process the foreign—yet utterly delightful—sensation, and squirmed around impatiently, desperate for stimulation against her throbbing clit. She’d managed to hold Willa
off until her body had adequately recovered from the day before, and her only request upon consenting to another night of lovemaking was that Willa wait another day before plundering her sore pussy again. Willa had been all too happy to agree, her sights already set on an entirely different playground. After an hour-long, full-body massage interspersed with sensual kisses planted all over Rae’s body, along with whispered words of love and devotion, Rae had rolled onto her belly and raised her hips into the air to indicate her willingness to take the next step.
Now Willa lapped at her anus lovingly, with stunning attentiveness that made Rae feel like the most important, and the most desirable, woman in the world. When Willa pulled away and whispered, “Hold yourself open for me,” Rae didn’t even think. She simply reacted, reaching back to part her buttocks with her fingers so Willa would have better access. Inhaling, Willa made a guttural noise of pure animal need that caused Rae’s pussy to contract, then leak wetness that trickled onto her inner thigh. “I want you so badly, baby. You’re so sexy.”
“So are you.” Rae gasped when Willa licked her again, this time pressing the tip of her tongue past the tight ring of muscle. “I love you so much, Will.”
Willa pressed a kiss to one butt cheek, then the other. Crawling up the length of Rae’s back, she settled on top of her and pressed a string of kisses across the back of her neck. “I love you.”
Rae pulled her hands out from between their bodies and backed her ass into Willa’s naked pussy, silently begging for what Willa was very clearly eager to deliver. “I want you inside me.”
Willa moved to lie next to Rae, running her fingertips over her spine, then down between her buttocks. “Reach between your legs and rub your clit for me first. Make yourself nice and excited.”
Maneuvering her hand beneath her stomach, Rae discovered exactly what she’d expected to find—her clit, hard and throbbing, and enough hot wetness to easily coat her fingers and palm. Hoping to excite Willa, she arched her back and thrust her butt high in the air, spreading her legs so Willa could clearly see her efforts. She exhaled quietly and bit her lip. “It feels so good.”
She heard Willa uncap the bottle of lube and clenched involuntarily at the thought of the undoubtedly cool liquid. “Will you—”
“Warm it with my hand first? Of course.” After waiting a few moments, Willa smeared the viscous substance across Rae’s anus, which automatically clenched again. Willa pressed her fingertips against the tender region, massaging gently, further warming the lubricant to better match the heat of Rae’s flesh. “Is that okay?”
Rae nodded and resumed drawing light circles over her clit. “Yes.”
A warm hand landed on Rae’s butt, pulling one cheek aside so Willa could lean closer and take a better look. “You’re so wet.”
“Yes,” Rae said again. She shuddered, then slowed her hand so she wouldn’t make herself come too fast.
“Seems like you must want me to put my finger in here.” Willa teased the tight opening, probing with a cautious, undemanding fingertip. “Do you?”
Rae laughed into the pillow, then turned her face to bite out, “Don’t sound so scandalized.”
“On the contrary…I’m thrilled to have married such a dirty, dirty bride.”
“You’ve corrupted me,” Rae said, and they laughed, because they both knew it wasn’t true. “I was an innocent little flower before I hooked up with the likes of you.”
Willa leaned over Rae’s back, dragging her hard nipples up either side of her spine, and whispered hotly into her ear. “Liar.” She eased past the outer edge of Rae’s puckered entrance, the passage made smooth by the generous lube she’d applied. “Want me to prove it?” She pushed in another inch. Then withdrew. Then plunged in again, stopping at the same spot. “Beg me.”
Rae humped the mattress and the questing fingers, but didn’t succeed in drawing Willa deeper inside. Frustrated, she surrendered with a whine. “Please, Will.” Then she forced her voice into a deadpan monotone, trying to sound bored. “I beg you.”
The fingertip disappeared from within her. “I don’t have to do this,” Willa whispered into her ear. She licked the lobe, then backed away. “Not if you don’t want me to.”
Rae surrendered again. This time, for real. “Please, Will. Please.”
Willa put her finger back in place, sliding marginally deeper this time. “All the way in?” When Rae nodded silently, Willa prompted her. “Say it out loud.”
“All the way,” Rae echoed, obediently. She hissed in pleasure when Willa did exactly as she asked. The fingers on her clit sped up, causing Rae to thrust her butt even higher into the air. “Oh…yeah…like that.”
Willa held onto Rae’s shoulder with her free hand and steadied her against the slow, driving invasion. “There’s nothing innocent about you, sweetheart. Never has been. Not since I’ve known you.”
Rae lost all interest in winning this particular argument. “Tell me when I’m allowed to make myself come.”
“Not yet,” Willa said, laughter in her voice. “Let me fuck you a little first.”
Some time later, after Willa finally gave her permission to finish herself off, Rae lay within the circle of Willa’s arms and tried to catch her breath. Eight more nights of this? Maybe she really did need to be careful what she wished for. She definitely needed to turn the tables, stat. Nuzzling Willa’s ear, she whispered, “Tomorrow, I plan to spend the day making you beg.”
Willa cuddled Rae closer, kissed her hair, and replied, “Consider it added to the itinerary.”
